Mizzy takes on Temptation Cancun Resort

Temptation Cancun

The Background
Let's get into my thoughts about us going to Temptation, Cancun Mexico. I honestly didn't know what to expect from this resort. I had a lifestyle mindset that it was just going to be naked people everywhere and fucking all around me 24/7. Im not saying that's bad, but for me, that's overwhelming. It's sensory overload. In my brain, the impression was that it was going to be a Mindbender Parties event all day and all night. Even though I'm so open and bold in the things that I do in life and social media, I don't necessarily want to be surrounded by that 24 hours a day for 7 days. Specifically where my mental health has been over this past couple of months, everything has felt very overwhelming.
In my mind, this trip was going be the turning point. The thing to get me to the next level of healing. And by that, I mean, I just started feeling good after starting the lexapro. It was about 2 months that I was officially on the medication and for me, it was hard getting to the point of feeling leveled out. With that, I was very apprehensive about drinking and smoking marijuana and doing all these extracurricular activities that I enjoy. I'm not saying I need to do these things, but I do like to participate in social drinking and just have a good time. I really felt like my life was at a hault for being on the meds. There's disclaimers of don't drink, don't do this, don't do that and I'm very much a follow the book in a lot of circumstances person. Especially because my anxiety comes from health-oriented things for no apparent reason, it's just psychological in my brain and my therapist says that's what generalized Anxiety is. I've been working really hard to overcome these thoughts and my mindset, and so this vacation was really going to be the finalization in where I'm at with healing and understanding and moving forward, in a way that works well for me. So going into it, I was definitely feeling overwhelmed, not knowing what to expect. I was definitely having a hard time packing because I really haven't wanted to get dressed up or be creative. But, I know that was part of what I needed to overcome. So I did my best. At the last minute, I threw a bunch of accessories in my suitcase and a ton of other unnecessary things to really get my head in the game for this travel.
So with that in mind, I am going to map out how our vacation went and give you all the details about each and every single day. It is going to be 2 to 3 blogs, so definitely be on the look out. I'll be as honest as possible with my perspective and how things went and where I was at throughout the entire trip, so let's dig in.
The Early Morning Hours
It's 430 Saturday morning when the alarm clocks go off. We had 30 minutes to get ready before our besties came to pick us up for the airport. We were flying out of JFK, which is about an hour away from us.
You know you have to be at the airport at least 2 or 3 hours beforehand so it was definitely a really long morning. As soon as I woke up, I threw on my clothes, I made my coffee and put on some under the eye collagen pads. I'm easy. I showered the night before so I didn't have to worry about being so wet so early in the morning. I really wanted to keep myself in a calm state of mine, so the less tasks, the better.
When our besties arrived we were ready to go! We laughed the whole way to the airport. These friends of ours are so silly. But they are so incredible. We are all ridiculously out of control together. We are usually laughing until we are crying. It's so great for the soul. When you can be so silly so early, you know it's going to be a great time.
We eventually made it to the parking lot where we keep our car when we travel. They have an easy shuttle bus system that brings you to the airport and picks you up upon arrival. They are reliable and fast!
The Airport
Oh gosh, here we go....
So, we're at the airport and we are starting to go through security and the metal detectors and all that stuff. I have one back pack and Spencer has his backpack and a carry on bag.

We never leave home without our adult toys, as I'm sure you too. There's never a point in time where we don't travel with at least a few dildos of all different sizes. There are a few favorites that I love so Spencer always makes sure he packs them. Usually, his carry on bag contains the toys with our JBL speaker. A security guards dream bag. We always have music and we always have lighting. So, we are on line, putting our bags through the metal detectors and all of a sudden the line comes to a complete stop. They literally shut the line down putting up a divider so noone could come in our lane. We are watching all this go down and are chuckling to ourselves because we know exactly what's happening. At this point, there are 2 agents looking at the screen, but then they call in back up. All of a sudden you see maybe 3 or 4 more TSA agents come through to examine the bag via the screen. They are pointing at it, trying to understand what all this "stuff" is in the bag. Finally, one agent starts calling out... Whose bag is this, does anybody know who this belongs to? So now, Spencer, who is completely animated and over the top, of course, is like, oh yeah, that's mine and I'm discreetly trying to be like, yeah, that's ours. So the guy comes over and he's like, hmm, do you guys have brass knuckles in your bag? I was like yes there are, but they are our adult toys and so the guy's looking at me like, what are you talking about? He's shaking his head in embarrassment, and we're like, you know, they are dildos. The brass knuckles are attached to the dildo. So this guy is completely jaw dropped and he's like, okay, we're gonna have to do an inspection on your bag. The agent was extremely apprehensive doing the inspection on the current line. We really didnt care where it was done. But after watching the agents body language and how he was looking around at the proximity of humans, I said, maybe we should go to a more discrete location. I didn't know how Spencer had them packed, so I didn't really know how in your face it was going to be because they're not small toys. And Spencer is being completely over the top bringing way more attention to it than anyone really should. He was having a field day. We ended up going down to the end of the lines to a secure room so we can close the door and take everything out of the bag and do what we need to do. We're laughing the entire time, as they're bringing us to a different location to go through the bag. We finally get to the end spot but the room was taken so we did have to do it out in the open. It was literally the last terminal in the corner with very few individuals around. The agent begins taking out all the items he finds the toys he's like, oh my. LMAO. He takes the radio out and then he puts everything through the belt detector but then he has to go to that TSA agent working that line to say, listen, just put the bag through. Don't pay any attention to the contents just let me look at the screen as it goes through, let me take care of it. And I'm laughing so hard at all of this and Spencer is laughing so hard. We were both like, of course, this is how our vacation is starting. Can you even believe it? Laying the foundation for the good times about to come. Lol.
Im proud to say, we made it through security with our brass knuckles and all. It's now time to wait for our departure. We did what every normal person at the airport does and that is getting something to eat and check out the shops for snacks. I also purchased a book of which I never read but I felt like I needed to have one just in case. Shortly before it was time to go on the plane, I took a small piece of xanax and allowed myself to get my head in the game to go on this plane. .
It's Time to Fly
I get extremely anxious and very uncomfortable on the plane. There's something about being in such a small space and not on the ground that really freaks me out. My objective is to always fall asleep before the plane takes off and hopefully wake up right when it's landing. I may have been awake for take off, but not really for long. I wasn't even awake for the snacks or the food which was disappointing. Lol. I woke up with about an hour left to the flight, playing solitaire on the seat screen.
Overall, the flight was really great. We landed in no time. I think the flight was just under 4 hours.
As soon as we arrived, we got our bags and headed for the door. Not so fast they said! We got pulled for a customs bag check. I will say, I was a tad nervous because we did bring THC gummies with us disguised in a starburts gummy bag. We did not chance bringing actual flower like when we went to St. Thomas. Spencer read too much about how much of a no no that is. Which was not great for us, as we knew it would be a challenge trying to find it onsite. But, in the end, we were released to go on our merry way with no question.
Let the Trip Really Begin
We head outside to find our transportation, as we had service booked through Temptation to pick us up and bring us back at the end of the trip. As soon as you're walking to the exit you get bombarded by all the vendors. There are so many individuals out there trying to get you to book their activities, excursions, transportation, etc. They come at you from every direction.
We make it outside, and man oh man was it warm! I was ready to soak up the sunshine and warmth in my soul the second we stepped outside. Instant gleam of happiness. Now, at this point in time, I have not drank hardly anything from September 19th until this particular date, which was November 16th. Maybe I've consumed a 1/2 a glass of wine and that was only in the last couple of weeks where I was like, okay, I'm going on vacation, I need to see how this will work. Adjusting to the lexapro made my brain super foggy to begin with, so anytime I would smoke or drink a little bit, it would make me even foggier. I was pretty sober aside from THC gummies. It wasn't until maybe the last week where I started to actually take a hit of my bowl before bed to help me sleep. So I was pretty sober at this time. Outside the airport exit there's beverage carts and bars. So I'm thinking to myself, I don't know am I drinking, am I not drinking? One of the humans we traveled with is a nurse, so I kind of felt pretty secure that if something were to go wrong with me, I would have somebody that would be able to help me through it. Id like to make a solid notation - I'm not recommending this to anyone. This is just my personal experience and how I have been managing and handling things.
She assured me things were going to be fine. If I want to have a drink, don't worry about it. We agreed that if I felt messed up in any way to immediately to say it. Having a plan in place made me feel a bit more bold in my actions. With that being said, I purchased us Pina coladas in these giant cups and oh my God, this was the most delicious Pina Colada I have ever had. I took it slow and was just fine!
Temptation Time
Upon arrival, we checked in as premier members. The check-in was a bit more personalized vs regular check in. There is a separate room outside the main lobby. We had our own designated customer service rep, who then eventually introduced us to our Butler(s) for the week. They did everything that we needed. They set up our dinner reservations, spa appointments and gave recommendations for the week. Overall, it was lovely having the support throughout the week. I would totally recommend it!
After checking in, we went straight to our room so we could check out where we were going to be living for the next couple of days. I thought it was such a pretty space. It was super open, it was very spacious and it was all white which made it feel super large. We had a sitting space with a couch and coffee table with another sitting chair. We had our own balcony which looked directly into the main pool area. The bathroom was very spacious as well. All big pluses! There was also plenty of storage space. I usually live out of my suitcase but Spencer always unpacks. This trip was no different.

After getting a tad settled, we threw on bathing suits, grabbed something to eat at the buffet then hit the pool for the remainder of the day. Boy, did we drink! Mimosas with vodka became my drink of choice with the staff ensuring we had refills non stop.
The Pool
The pool was great. Its a super chill environment with everyone doing their own thing. It is topless optional, so you had maybe 25% of women who actually went topless. I think this is what really made me realize... wow, this isnt going to be as crazy as I think. Everyone was so pleasant and welcoming. It truly was a very chill atmosphere. Pure fun in the sun in a very relaxed way. I will dive into the pool conversation in the next blog.
Back to the Room We Go
We were set on attending the night party, which was the glow party, but we were exhausted from traveling. Our nap turned into an all night affair. Lol. I think we woke up around 2am and ordered room service. Something we learned would become dangerous through out the trip. Having unlimited food was good and bad. I ate so many incredible foods and treats, but man oh man, I'm still trying to work off all the pounds I gained because of it. I guess that's when you know you enjoyed your vacation!
