75 Day Challenge Progress Update - Day 40 Check In

It has been about 20 days since I have checked in last and I think things are going so well. If you have read my previous 75 Day Challenge check in blogs, you will know this journey is about mind, body and soul. It isn't necessarily about loosing weight. It's about being the best me. I have finally found a way to keep me on track and thriving. Some of the key areas I am so happy with are:


  1. Walking / All the Rings on my Android Watch: I have officially walked 10,000 steps a day or more

    since Tuesday, January 28, 2025 (minus a few weekend days here and there). This has changed my life. Since I work from home, it's so easy to fall into lazy mode, chilling on the couch all day. I know from experience. It's one of the reasons I originally sought out a job. I wanted to be able to interact with others, have a schedule etc. As time has gone on and things at work have changed, I am back working from home. It was important to me to not fall into the same blob I was turning into a few years ago. My hair was falling out, I wasn't sleeping, it was all just a mess. I had no routine at all. Piggy back that with my mental break down last year, I knew it was pertinent to set myself up for success as my days shifted to home life again.


    I had every intention stating this in the beginning of the year. Not necessarily the 75 day challenge, but some sort of program to keep me on the straight and narrow. At the end of January is when I really started to get into a flow. I had just recovered from the flu and I was ready to get into some sort of routine. It started slow. Walking here and there to get to my full goal of the day. Now, I spend the first 90 minutes of my work day tackling emails and walking. It is absolutely wonderful on my soul, especially when I see that I closed all my watch circles. It is such a rewarding accomplishment.

  2. My Agenda Book: Actually dually serves as a marketing calendar. I started with Mindbender Parties private group, then slowly started adding things for the Mizzy Bender Brand. Once I got things semi organized with both of those, I started on Mizzy's Boutique. The agenda book finally has an organized rolling plan that is proving to be very effective. This has made my heart so happy, especially because I have been trying for a few years to find the right flow. I also want to be transparent in the fact that I am on Lexapro since September 19, 2024. I do believe this has helped by focusing my mind. My thoughts aren't as rapid as they used to be. I believe my change in focus and happiness is from a combination of walking, the meds and the the agenda book.


  3. 75 Hard Meal Plan: I have been doing so well when it comes to meal choices. And by well I mean not coming down on myself for choices. I realize I have a really unhealthy relationship with food and my body or something. Through this process, I am learning to not care again. There once was a time where I had a very zero fucks attitude then things went haywire. One thing I learned was that my belly was always bloated. I am not sure the true cause as of it yet, but I do know micro dosing mushrooms has made my belly feel so much better. Which in turn makes me feel so much better overall. I get it now when they say gut health effects everything.


    I no longer buy snacks from the supermarket. Spencer is also on the bandwagon now, so it makes it so much easier. We have been sticking with the Factor meals for most lunches and dinners. Sometimes I will order in a turkey sandwich just to have something cold. I don't love warm meals all the time. I am going on a no spend week, so no Uber Eats! I also eat at least one apple or banana a day, as well as an orange. I've cut down my Greek yogurt & berries to 3 times a week. For a sweet treat, I have a Lindt chocolate truffle or a few chocolate mochis. There was one time in the last two weeks that I order a carvel dasher. Everything in moderation.


  4. Reading: This has been amazing especially since adding the bestie book club. Having us read the same book as been a great motivator to stay balance. A great example is last week when I was balls deep into my blogging. Thoughts and stories have been pouring out. By the time I know it, four hours have past and I'm still in the computer. Last week we were almost at the turning point of the book. She was all in sending me messages & questions. It made me take a step back to ensure I took personal time to read. I made sure to tell her much I appreciated it. My goal was to read 8 books this year. We are entering our 4th month and I have read 4 books and am in the early stages of book 5, The Girl in Cabin 13. I am super impressed with myself.


    I also love the reading because it is teaching me how to be more descriptive when writing my blogs. I want you to feel like you are right there with me. Reading as much as I can is only going to enhance my writing skills.


  5. Skin Care Routine: Now, I am sure your wondering why I am adding this in, but I have wanted to follow a routine FOREVER! I've set alarms, I've made bags to put next to my bed, and all sorts of other failed efforts. As of Friday, March 14th, I started with the following morning routine:

    • Wash Face

    • Red light therapy for about 20 minutes

    • Either an under eye patch or face mask - alternating days

    • Spray toner

    • Serum

    • Face Cream

    • 5 minute manual scalp massage


    My face has never felt better! Since I am home, I figured it would be better to occupy my time with self care routines. I love going to the spa at least once a month for a facial, but maybe now I'll focus on more home spa type treatments.





Final Thoughts on 75 Day Challenge Day 40

As you can see, the items that I feel so good about really do apply to mind, body and soul. I am so pleased with the progress and small implementations along the way. I am way more positive in my thoughts and mindset and I feel good in my skin. I feel like in another 35 days, I am going to be a whole new woman! To that, the one thing I do want to work on is toning. It's time to really put in the effort, setting up the routine. I can't wait to report back! For a quick comparison from day one to now. I see where the improvements have been made and I am super happy at this time.


To making changes, creating a strong mind and staying consistent!
