75 Day Challenge - Day 4 & 5 Check In
The first weekend of the 75 Day Challenge went fairly well but I do have a few bumps to talk through. Friday was an easy flowing day for me. I accomplished all my tasks around the house relatively early, so I had some good down time before Spencer came home and then shortly there after, a friend. It was a super chill night of catching up and watching movies. Eventually we all fell asleep and that was that ... adult sleepover underway, my absolute favorite! Generally speaking, we are all early risers, so I always make us coffee, and we chat and smoke the morning away. So that's what I did, and that's what we did. LOL.
After our friend left, I made sure to get some steps in on my walking pad. Usually the pad is setup under my desk, but on Saturday, I brought it into the living room so I can watch TV and be close to Spencer. While I was tackling my walk, I suggested going to the mall so I can get my steps in there, changing up the scenery a bit. A few hours later we made out way to the mall, spending about 2 hours there. At one point, I had to go to the bathroom. I realize it is always a bad idea to leave spencer unattended because when I found him after my little rest stop, he was going bonkers over these incredible cookies he found. Spencer loves loves loves cookies and is pretty snobby when it comes to the ones he likes. Having an over the top cookie shop newly added to the food court was a great choice because the crowd was going wild and so was Spencer. Rightfully so too. These cookies were delicious. At that moment I thought to myself.... whelp, looks like I am going over my calories today. I ended up ordering a sugar cookie that had a layer of fluff on top to attach captain crunch. I just had to have it. I needed to taste all those flavors in my mouth. And although it was super delicious, I really only tasted the sugar cookie. The fluff and captain crunch were faint flavors in the background. Overall, I am really happy I tried it, but it could have put me over the count for the day. I'm honestly not too worried about it.
Sunday was the day I really needed to be mindful of because it was my nephews birthday party. I knew we were having pizza and carvel cake, so I planned accordingly to ensure I stayed within my count for the day and I did! The next best thing about the day was that I recently sent walking pads to my brother and sister. I love mine so much, I wanted them to start to love the idea as well. I thought it was a great way to keep each other motived, as they are both on their own wellness paths. Siblings who walk together, stay together. LOL. Silly. Anyways, while we were all hanging in the living room, I made use of his walking pad, getting my steps in for the day. Multitasking at its finest!
Overall, I think it was a super successful weekend and although there are some iffy moments, I feel proud that I kept moving!
75 Hard Meal Plan
Before I get started on my meals, I have to say the one thing I am struggling with is the proper calorie intake for me. For the longest time I was set at 1200 calories. Recently I started adjusting that. This weekend I did a little more tweaking with the mindset of 1900 calories and 1700 calories in deficit. So starting today, I am going to focus on 1700 overall, seeing how this goes. 1200 is just too little, but 1900 is a lot! PROGRESS UPDATE FOR THE 75 DAY CHALLENGE
Drink 1 gallon of water a day | Both days completed. Each day I also had 3 cups of coffee |
Exercise for 30 minutes a day, twice a day | Saturday I considered my two sessions to be the walking pad and then the mall. Same with Sunday. |
Read for 30 minutes | Saturday I did not read. Bummer. On Sunday I started a new book... I had to put the Tuscan vacation one on pause. I've transitioned to Jack Reacher - Echo Burning. |
Follow any "diet" | I think I did pretty good for having such a loose weekend. It's so easy to snack the day away, but having the accountability of these blogs is truly fantastic. |
Take a photo for daily progress | Completed! |
Weight Check In:
Saturday: 134.8
Sunday: 136.6
