75 Day Challenge - Day 3 Check In

Yesterday was another successful day. I stayed focused and on track! I think the biggest take away as of right now is feeling so happy to be getting back into my old rhythms. I'm finding my way back to the things that fulfil my day such as waking up early to journal and read in the dark silence. There is something about it that eases my soul so much. The past few mornings have been absolutely wonderful.

I mentioned yesterday that when I journal to my oracle cards, it allows me to self reflect and think deeply. Today was no different. Or maybe it was validation that I am absolutely on the right path. On day 1, I was sharing that I recently cleaned & organized my closet room. A project that was looming over me for like a year. During one of my recent therapy sessions, I was sharing that It is important to really get that room in order. One of the biggest things on my to do list was to go through all my clothes & play clothes, donating anything that no longer fits physically or my style in generally. I have a TON of stuff (and its not from me. Spencer loves to gift me with things and I am completely grateful) and it began to make me feel weighed down. I was in a catch 22 because Spencer doesn't love when I get rid of things, but I must, to keep my energy flowing. In with the new, out with the old. But I think it kiils his soul. Because of that, I kept everything even though it was against what I felt good with. The problem with that is ... well, I guess there are a few issues with that. The first being, all the items that I knew were too small for me, were like crazy thorns poking me everywhere every time I walked into that room and I hated it. It felt like an overhanging expectation that I needed to fit back into it all again, and that is completely unrealistic at this point. That really bothered me for so long. Secondly, talk about people pleaser, my goodness. After talking about it in therapy, I realized how important it was to purge the stuff, which I did. 7 bags worth! Talk about cleansing!! (I love you Bubby)

I tell you this story, because this morning while journaling, one of my cards had the following alignment message. How crazy! Universe, show me the way! Mind, Body & Soul!

75 Hard Meal Plan:

I had a colorful day of veggies that's for sure! I started the day with oatmeal, 1 TBSP peanut butter, 1 TBSP PB2 and a medium banana. It was very filling! Prior to now, I was eating Greek yogurt with berries and almonds for breakfast, however, I know realize that is more of a snack. The oatmeal definitely keeps me full until just about lunch time. I think this is going to become my staple going forward. Its so versatile. Plus, its easy enough to prep in advance for when we travel.

Lunch was tuna fish, 1 TBSP of mayo, chopped carrot, cucumber and celery with mini peppers as scoops. It was so so so good!

Snack was a gala apple. My absolute favorite. If galas aren't available I'll choose honey crisp.

Dinner I made taco salads - sort of! I had romaine lettuce, carrots, celery, sweet peppers, tomato, avocado, shredded cheddar cheese and ground turkey with a dollop of plain Greek yogurt. It was absolutely delicious and hearty. I didn't have any room for a snack.
